ET Boys: The Genre-Bending Nu Pop Duo Redefining Independent Music

South Florida’s music scene has birthed a fresh and fearless sound through the dynamic sibling duo, ET Boys. Comprising brothers Tacboy and Sharkeyes, the ET Boys are trailblazers in the genre they’ve coined "Nu Pop"—a boundary-defying blend of melodic rap, alternative pop, punk, and house. Their sonic versatility, emotionally rich lyrics, and magnetic performances are quickly propelling them to the forefront of independent music.

The Roots of a Musical Revolution

Born in Chicago and raised under the Florida sun, the brothers were immersed in music from an early age. Their mother, Pepper Gomez, a renowned Chicago house vocalist and founder of Wake Up! Music Group, exposed them to an array of genres that would later inspire their innovative sound. Sharkeyes sharpened his skills in classical piano and drums, while Tacboy initially pursued modeling and acting before embracing music as his true calling.

This deep-rooted connection to music and their diverse influences laid the foundation for a genre-defying identity, setting the ET Boys apart in today’s oversaturated industry.

From Debut to Dominance

The ET Boys made a splash in 2021 with their debut single "Sober," which quickly surpassed a million streams on Spotify. Building on that momentum, their 2022 album "Forever Night" racked up over 3 million streams and established their signature style—moody, melodic, and mesmerizing.

Chart-topping singles like "Bong Bong," "This Is Us," and "Until Forever" dominated the Digital Radio Tracker (DRT) Independent Charts, affirming their place among the most exciting new acts in the indie scene.

Artistic Growth and Latest Releases

In 2024, the ET Boys elevated their artistry with the release of the "Paopu" EP, produced by Grammy winner Ken Lewis. The project surpassed 1 million Spotify streams and received praise for its emotional depth and genre fusion.

Their most recent single, "Far Away," released in January 2025 and produced by David Gnozzi, further showcases their evolution. The track’s introspective tone is visually captured in a gripping music video directed by @DuniBunni.

Eyes on the Future

With over 50 unreleased tracks in their vault, the ET Boys are only getting started. Their commitment to artistic authenticity and fearless genre experimentation marks them as pioneers of a new wave in indie music.
