Overcoming Early Life Challenges
Growing up, Luis endured relentless bullying due to his appearance and battled cancer at 17, which left him with a permanent limp. “They told me I couldn’t be a model because of my birthmark,” he shares, “so I became a model because of my birthmark.” That bold mindset now drives his mission to inspire others with visible differences and remind them that adversity can be their strength.
Turning the Pandemic into a Purposeful Pivot
After spending 17 years as a paralegal in NYC, the pandemic gave Luis a rare opportunity to pursue his true passion. He enrolled at the John Casablancas Center, where intensive training in acting and modeling not only sharpened his skills but also helped improve his mobility. A major turning point came at the IMTA convention, where he won an improv acting award and earned representation from two agencies.
Achievements That Inspire Millions
Luis’s rise has been both rapid and remarkable. At New York Fashion Week 2024, he walked in major shows after losing 50 pounds. He won 1st Place Men’s Judge’s Choice and 2nd Place Theme Wear in a Tennessee competition. His story and image have graced over 14 magazine covers and appeared on Times Square billboards, including through the Nevus Global campaign celebrating birthmark beauty.
Creative Work and Industry Honors
Beyond the runway, Luis was featured in the music video “Now I Rise” by Lourds Lane and was named Mr. Congeniality and Best Host at Anastasia Magazine NYFW 2025—further proving his versatile talent in entertainment. He also filmed and starred in his first movie, “A Man’s Worth”, which is coming soon.
A Mission to Empower and Uplift
Luis aims to go far beyond personal fame. His goals include empowering people with visible differences, reframing uniqueness as strength, and paving the way for the next generation. Recently, he was selected out of 100,000 global applicants to compete for Actor and Model of the Year at an elite international convention.
As a proud Puerto Rican, Luis was honored with invitations to both the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in NYC and the Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade—celebrations of culture and pride that align with his identity and mission.
Expanding His Reach Through Media
With a growing fanbase on Instagram and TikTok (@mojica_entertainment) and compelling content on YouTube, Luis continues to build a platform focused on inclusion, creativity, and storytelling.
In His Own Words
