 Rapper French Montana has broken his silence following a tragic shooting incident that left 10 people injured during his music video shoot in Miami Gardens, Florida. The shocking event took place on Thursday night (Jan. 5) outside The Licking, a well-known local restaurant.

French Montana Speaks Out

Taking to Twitter on Friday (Jan. 6), the "Unforgettable" hitmaker addressed the shooting, expressing his concern for the victims. “Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape with friends at a local restaurant. We, unfortunately, were at the wrong place, at the wrong time when an incident took place that left people hurt. Our thoughts & prayers are with the victims & families at this time.”

What Happened?

According to WSVN 7, Miami Gardens Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to reports of gunfire outside The Licking just before 8 p.m. ET on Thursday. While details remain unclear, officials have yet to determine whether the attack involved a targeted shooting or a broader exchange of gunfire.

Reports confirm 10 victims, with four self-transporting to the hospital and six others being rushed by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue for medical treatment, as stated by NBC 6 South Florida.

Eyewitness Accounts

One witness, local MC Ced Mogul, shared a video with NBC6 capturing French Montana dressed in a red shirt while filming alongside New Orleans rapper Rob49. Mogul alleged that Rob49 was among the injured, although this claim has yet to be officially confirmed by authorities.
